Just went and put a drop of petrol straight into cylander and it fired a bit,must have been mistaken when i thought i saw petrol on plugs,sorry,fuel starvation is the answer,i have an 86 and an 88 savage both with some problems,so im makeing one good one from the two,both carbs must be faulty,i will have to strip both and find the problem,thank you all so much for your advice,will let you know how i get on,ian
